Liberty's Raptor and Reptile Centre is open to the public all
summer long and during the winter from October to April it will only open at
weekends, half term and school holiday. Admission: £4.95 adults, £3.50 children and over 55's. There will be two shows a day displaying Raptors (birds who catch their prey with their feet) and other birds of prey. You will see eagles, hawks, owls, vultures, buzzards, falcons and caracara all expertly flown by Giles Talbot and his team of 5 staff helped by 25 volunteer staff. There will also be twice daily shows of the reptiles, which include a 16 foot, 11 stone Burmese Python called Cuddles, a Peruvian bird eating tarantula, leopard geckos, Yemen chameleons, monitor lizards, Common green iguanas, water dragons, and boa constrictors. Also on show are three giant African spur-thighed tortoises weighing 55 pounds each, and some giant rabbits weighing 26 pounds each (the average bunny weighs only 4 pounds).
