Local Author seen 'On The Buses'
Verwood author 'Tom Levick' was recently spotted in August conducting a book signing aboard a bus in Wimborne. At first glance the bus appeared to be lost, as the destination stated 'Trafalgar Square'. One of the local bookshops had organised the bus to gain the attention of passers by and shoppers on Saturday 5th August. 'Tom' who owns a local bus company in the area told us he had rewritten the book five times in the last five years and this was his first published novel.

Tom Levick was born on 1954 Stockton on Tees and started work at Middlesbrough Town hall in 1970, where he was transferred to the corporation's transport department early in 1971. He worked as an insurance assistant till 1977, when he left to do a Round-Britain cycling tour. In 1978 he was a bus conductor for six months, which he followed with a year of driving buses. In 1981 Tom started his own bus operation in Dorset which he sold in 1988, leading him to by a house in Hull where he continued to drive buses. He now operates his own bus service in Dorset.
