RINGWOOD JUBILEE 1952 DAYRingwood sizzled in the hot sun to the sounds and sights of the 50s
as the Furlong Centre celebrated the Queens Jubilee with a 1952 Day.
The day started with the Ringwood Town Crier opening the proceedings
with the Mayor and the newly crowned Jubilee Prince and Princess, Ben
Sheet and Stephanie Stevens. One of the highlights of the day was the fashion show put on by Sally Rees of Ringwood School with some of the boys and girls from the school and from Arnwood School in New Milton. The authentic clothes were supplied by Eclectic of New Milton run by Ann Ponting. The fashion show was stunning with a fascinating commentary from Sally Rees and some truly professional models. The day culminated with a fantastic performance from the Big Little
Theatre School who sang songs from musicals of the 50s with the grand
finale of God Save the Queen. From: Belinda Charlton 01425 473813 |
